Through the FAMU Ignite Program, students who attend a Florida College System (FCS) institution are guaranteed general admission into FAMU after completion of an Associate of Arts (AA) degree, [Pursuant to 1007.23 F.S.]. Note: Limited access programs may require additional admissions and prerequisite requirements.
Benefits of the FAMU Ignite Program
Ignite students will have access to the following:
- FAMU athletic events
- Eligible FAMU Ignite students will receive one (1) complimentary game ticket to all qualifying athletic events (excludes FAMU Homecoming and Florida Classic games).
- Student membership to the Hansel Tookes Recreational Center (Please see a staff member at the recreational center for qualifying criteria).
- A FAMU Ignite ID card.
- The FAMU Ignite ID card is available to new IGNITE students with a collegiate grade point average of 3.0 or higher (4.0 scale). The card grants FREE access to most FAMU athletic and on-campus events. In order to receive the FAMU Ignite ID card, interested students must meet the following requirements:
- Students must be currently enrolled in a Florida State or Community College
- Students must have at least a 3.0 GPA
- Student must not have more than 50 college credits earned
- Submit an unofficial college transcript to ignite@famu.edu to confirm eligibility. Once confirmed, a clear headshot photo will be requested and your new "Rattler" IGNITE Card will be created!
