Who is considered non-degree?
A non-degree seeking student is someone who takes courses without pursuing a degree or enrolling full-time in an academic program. These students attend classes for personal interest, to fulfill prerequisites, or to acquire specific skills in their field without committing to a full degree program.
Non-degree students often seek experiences, knowledge, or skills that can enhance their careers or professional development.
Course Selection
Unlike degree-seeking students, who must complete a specific number of credits within their major, including prerequisites and electives, non-degree students can choose only the classes that interest them or align with their needs.
Financial Aid
Financial aid is generally not available for non-degree students. For more information, please contact your Financial Aid Office.
It’s important to note that non-degree students typically do not earn a credential (degree/certificate) at the institution, but they may be able to apply a limited number of credits toward a future degree program if they choose to pursue one.
