Prepare for Graduation
Students are responsible for fulfilling all the requirements of their degree. Students are encouraged to discuss their degree audit with an Academic Advisor regularly to ensure they stay on track to graduation.
Students who plan to graduate at the end of the term should access their myPHSC account, apply for graduation, and pay the graduation fee.
Students must ensure they have met all graduation requirements, such as Civic Literacy, Foreign Language Requirement, and Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE), if applicable.
Graduation Application
Students must be enrolled in the last credits required to complete their program of study in order to apply to graduate and walk in commencement with their peers. Applying for graduation does not automatically guarantee that the student will graduate with a certificate or degree.
Students who applied for graduation, but did not successfully complete the program requirement at the end of the semester should reapply for graduation once the requirements have been met.
Graduating with Honors
Any student graduating with AA, AS, BAS, or BS degrees and a cumulative (i.e., includes transfer hours) grade point average of 3.5 or above in all college-credit courses will be eligible for honors designation.
Qualified students will receive the following:
- Honors graduate designation printed on a degree
- Honors cord to wear for the commencement ceremony, if the student paid to participate in the commencement ceremony
