In-Person Advising
Our in-person office hours are: Monday - Thursday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. (regular hours), on Fridays, our hours are from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
During the summer, all campuses are closed on Fridays.
During peak registration times, at the beginning of each semester, the advising of registration is the priority for academic advisor. Appointments may be limited for students desiring to discuss pre-requisites, academic plan, or other in depth issues.
Appointments
Appointments are available during non-peak hours. To schedule an appointment, login to myPHSC. Newly admitted students must complete Group Advising before scheduling a one-on-one appointment.
Drop-ins
Drop-in advising does not require an appointments. Continuing and new students who completed Group Advising are welcome to meet an advisor in-person or virtually via Zoom during the designated drop-in periods each week.
Group Advising
During Group Advising new students learn how to register for classes, navigate systems, review academic programs and much more.
All new first semester students must attend a Group Advising Session. This includes first-time in college and transfer students.
Group advising is not for current/returning PHSC students. Students can register for Group Advising after they have completed all necessary steps in the Bobcat Application Portal.
Preparing for Advising Meeting
Our Advisors want each appointment to bring the student the most benefit.
Please prepare for an appointment by:
- Bringing a government-issued ID or student ID
- Considering two goals to discuss
- Completing the basic enrollment steps prior to the advising appointment
